Smile. Is it contagious?
Smiling is an easiest and common gesture made by human beings countless times in a day. Has smiling lost its impact on others through routine? I strongly believe that smiling will never lose its way of impacting us throughout our daily lives. Perhaps smiles surely are the gateways to one’s authentic personality; maybe smiles really are just muscles tensing in one’s face; or perhaps smiles are useless. Smiles have an effect on our lives from the day we are born till the day we die.
How Smiling Affects Your Brain?
Whether you portray it a grin, beam, smirk or smile, there’s no denying the feel-good factor of this cheerful facial expression which electrifies people around you. A person smiling is also seen as “attractive, reliable, relaxed, and sincere.
We are born with the ability to smile, yet as we move on aging, our smiling habit decreases. It has been proved in many researches that averagely child smiles 400 times per day in comparison to the average happy adult whose frequency of smiles is 40-50 times per day whereas typical grown up adult smiles frequency is maximum 20 times per day.
Why is smiling important?
Smile was rated as the symbol with the utmost positive emotional content. Smiling not only provides a mood boost but also helps our bodies to release cortisol and endorphins that provide numerous health benefits, including Reduction in blood pressure, Incremental increase in endurance, Reduction in pain, Reduction in stress and Strengthening in immune system.
Moreover, research data depicts that people who smile appear more loveable, well-mannered, polite and competent. It has also been proved that people who smiles often tend to be more productive at work and tend to make more money also.

Sharing my personal instance, during my teen age my teacher usually remarked me that I often smile very less as compared to other students. Later I realized the power of smiling and I made this as my ritual and will advice you all to follow this and find remarkable changes in your personality.
